This installation attempts to convey, through a specific viewpoint/listening point, the primacy of a sonic experience of space. The proportions of this object reference both monastic and prison cells, as well as the minimum architectural space defined by Le Corbusier. It is a kind of archetypal constructed space that disappears into its surroundings by reflecting them. The flexible, floating partitions vibrate to the touch, like black water gathered by waxen hands, or vibrate under the breath.
