«Les voisins du dessus» - 1998 - "The Upstairs Neighbors"     - Exhibition at the Former Jesuit College - Reims

Sound sculpture: Roll of gray linoleum, 9 joists, drawings (studio plan), 4 speakers, amplifier, magnetic tapes, 4 audio players, 4 motion detectors. Dimensions: 520 x 240 x 37 cm.

 Sounds: (kitchen: radio station surfing, bathroom: water, entrance: answering machine, living room: a couple's conversation);

 This work takes the form of a roll (linoleum/tracing paper) and constitutes a space for projecting/projecting. When the visitor moves across the roll (like in a hopscotch grid), they become the upstairs neighbor and trigger the sounds/noises/dialogues related to the spaces they are passing through.
