10 ceramic sculptures, sound device, variable diameter approximately 60 cm

These 10 sculptures evoke the horns of gramophones and the shape of marine whirlpools. The form of these ceramics is inspired by the submerged part of the inner ear. The horns diffuse a sound composition created from nocturnal sound recordings: breaths, whispers, footsteps, rumblings, and the sounds of the wind, recorded in the surroundings of Cluny Abbey. Scattered across the cellar floor, the horns are connected by black audio cables and are displayed like a flock of birds, forming a constellation. The sounds emanating from within the horns seem to be drawn from the earth and resonate throughout the building in a continuous crackling.
