about an exhibition at ////////////////////////////////// CAC LA TRAVERSE - Alforville .
Singular experimentalist, Cécile Le Talec implements a "phonomorphic" plasticity 1 by which she sculpts music, shears the vibrations and shapes the sound matter. In his work, the visual, the haptic 2, and the auditory are leveled on the same plane of sensibility, where their common resonance redistributes the perceptible map.
For the SILENCE OF THE BLIND ANGLES, the artist works at the point of coincidence of the invisible and the unverifiable, setting up the means to counteract them, to make visible what they conceal. The blind angles, blind points of the gaze which are revealed only by displacement, constitute for Cécile Le Talec models of optical illusion for the elaboration of its devices, within which dynamism is a precisely condition Of a plastic revelation. Each of the pieces has a kinesic dimension 3 (duration of the video, graphic transcription of movements, invitation to walk, capture of physical forces, etc.) which allows the genesis of tangible forms in the heart of materials that at first sight can not be grasped.
Although dry and minimalist, Cécile Le Talec's style is none the less imbued with a dreamlike sensualism that shows the artist's interest in poetry, the verb borne by its prosodic form 4 - its musicality - At the threshold of its meaning. Made for the very first time, the exceptional cyanotypic room is presented as an experimental architecture - realizing the performance of capturing the imprint of a music played live - conducive to a dive into a derealizing pictoriality, . Based on the same principle of fantasy immersion, the Whirlwindsong installation draws a senseless dramaturgy where physical sensation leads to a contemplative drift. Placed between the delicate floating of a curtain dappled with ink blown and the devastating force of a maelstrom, the public, feet on the floor, improvises in its wandering musical dialogue between two breaths, placed at the heart of a tension between Real and imaginary.
The one who shares her name with the patron saint of musicians works the sound in all its forms, unified in a universe with the look of utopia. Thus it invokes as much the animal and natural biophony (telluric rumblings, aquatic eddies, whistling of the wind and the birds ...) that the instrumental music, vocal and electronic, playing their interactions, between encroachments and parasitages. This principle of transversality of sounds also applies to plastic motifs, articulated to each other by a play of symbolic resonance. The blue color describes both a video background and an abyssal or celestial landscape, when the pavilion forms the synthesis of the biological (the auricular structure), the physical (the marine vortex) and the technique (the vinyl record, the phonograph) , conferring on the whole a conceptual coherence of an admirable accuracy.
In her image, Cécile Le Talec finally offers a resolutely generous and sincere art. Invited to seize his works, touching them or activating them, the spectators become in the SILENCE OF THE BLIND ANGLES genuine "conductive bodies", in the same way as the Whistlers that she met throughout the world, engaged together in the writing of an aesthetic partition in motion, with multiple tonal nuances.
